Gina Palazzolo, APRN, DNP, CNP, provides care with the Springfield Clinic Urgent Care Plus team.

A Springfield native, Gina began her health care career as a phlebotomist before working as a certified nursing assistant and emergency room technician while completing her education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. John’s College of Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner focus from University of Illinois Chicago.

After initially planning a career in intensive care, a clinical rotation in the emergency department sparked Gina's passion for emergency medicine. She has practiced as a nurse practitioner in emergency departments and urgent care settings across the country.

Gina is passionate about providing care with integrity and helping patients make informed decisions about their health. Outside of work, she enjoys bodybuilding, biking, hiking and is interested in community health education initiatives.
